ECP Lecturer: Environmental Management

Description

The successful candidate will be expected to perform in the following areas:

•Lecture subjects in the ECP Environmental Management (Population Ecosystems and Environmental ResourcesPopulation Ecology).
•Develop reusable learning and teaching materials for the subjects being taught (e.g., lecture notes, tutorials, online content).
•Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department.
•Participate in curriculum development activities.
•Contribute to the department's Work Integrated Learning and community engagement goals.
•Supervise and assess undergraduate and postgraduate Environmental Health students for their exit-level projects.
•Participate in research and produce DHET-accredited publications at a rate of at least 0.5 publication units per year.
•Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department.
•Assist with marketing and student recruitment activities.
•Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

•An appropriate Masters degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or equivalent
•Two years relevant working experience of which one year must be in teaching.
•Base qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or equivalent

Recommendations:
•Industry experience will be an added advantage
