An established and fast-growing renewable energy business based in Cape Town is looking for a commercially minded Financial Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. You'll be responsible for developing robust financial models, supporting investment decisions, and providing financial insight across a portfolio of renewable energy projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and enhance detailed financial models for renewable energy projects.
- Perform project valuations, scenario analysis and investment feasibility assessments.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Prepare investment committee packs and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyse project performance and provide commercial recommendations.
- Work closely with development, commercial and executive teams to support strategic decision-making.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- CFA qualification or progress towards CFA will be highly advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Financial Analyst or Financial Modeller.
- Proven financial modelling experience is essential.
- Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance or investment environments will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel financial modelling skills.
- Power BI and financial modelling software exposure will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
