Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Design Engineer with proven experience in solar PV systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical proposals, designing system layouts, and supporting the business development team in securing new projects.
📋 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate and competitive solar PV system designs and proposals.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy yield calculations.
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and layout designs using AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to ensure proposals meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical support during tender submissions and client presentations.
- Stay updated on solar technologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in solar PV design and proposal engineering.
- Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar design software.
- Strong knowledge of SANS codes, IEC standards, and local grid regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
