Our client in the Solar industry is seeking to employ a Support Field Technician to join their team based in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
Requirements:
- Experience in a technical or field support role.
- Knowledge of solar and inverter systems.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Experience with Sunsynk, Deye, Victron, Solis, or Huawei systems.
- Solar PV certifications.
- Experience with lithium batteries and monitoring platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot solar, inverter, electrical, and network issues.
- Perform installations, replacements, and maintenance of solar systems.
- Electrical equipment replacement (AC/DC breakers, AC/DC SPD, DC fuses).
- Configure and commission systems.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
- Monitor system performance and perform firmware updates where needed.
- Log and manage support tickets using Zoho CRM.
- Maintain strong communication with customers and suppliers.
- RMA testing.
