Job Description
Leap29 are searching for a Solar Project Developer to join an established company in the Northeast.
Preferred locations NJ, PA, DE; others considered.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project development activities: site control, permitting, electrical interconnection, and engineering.
- Coordinate internal and external subject matter experts for real estate, permitting, electrical interconnection, and engineering.
- Own project inputs/assumptions, coordinating updates with internal groups.
- Manage project progress, risks, opportunities, and economics, providing thoughtful analysis and risk evaluation.
- Manage or support due diligence activities for acquisitions.
- Negotiate lease/purchase options and agreements for site control.
- Coordinate engineering activities for permits and interconnection matters.
- Work closely with the engineering team to support design and EPC processes.
- Identify and track key development tasks, managing budgets for each project.
Requirements:
- Record of academic and professional achievement.
- Knowledge of PJM a bonus.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate well with a small team.
- Proven organizational acumen working on multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- 2-5 years of experience in energy or renewables.
