Location of Position
This position is a fully remote position, with a hybrid work schedule of 2 in-office days highly encouraged if located near our NYC or Buffalo office locations.

Position Summary
The Vice President, Project Development will be responsible for supporting CleanCapital’s early-stage DG and utility scale solar and energy storage project development and supporting its development partnerships. This role will report to the Director of Development and support new projects from origination through NTP or COD. The candidate is expected to have solar or storage development project experience. The VP, Project Development is expected to complete complex tasks independently, with oversight and input from their supervisor. This position will work across disciplines, supporting our acquisitions, investments, capital markets, business development, and asset management groups. This position will support a vital growth of GW/GWh of new renewable energy projects.
Core Responsibilities
Initiate and manage new project diligence and across the company verticals, including legal, interconnection, finance, engineering, environmental, permitting, commercial, policy, investment/revenue; as well as supporting these reviews
Education Requirements
Technical Skills and Experience
Renewable energy development experience required which includes some combination of expertise origination, real estate or legal documentation, interconnection, permitting, engineering, due-diligence, financial modeling, policy and or offtake/PPA negotiations
Psychosocial Skills /Human Skills/Behavioral Skills
Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders
