We’re looking for a Trade Support - Contract Specialistto join our business and the extremely dynamic market we operate in, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow. This will be a 5 month part-time contract in our Manhattan office with in-office days required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
ABOUT OPERATIONS
The operations function forms the backbone of any company. At STX, the Operations team, which comprises IT, Finance, Human Resources, and Middle Office, works closely with all other teams and desks to ensure that STX continues to perform and deliver at an exceptionally high level. As a critical partner in the business, Operations also guarantees compliance with all the relevant rules and regulations. Moreover, the Operations team works collaboratively to make sure that STX has the necessary structures and processes in place to grow and develop further in new products, industries, and markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn the operational and contractual side of the environmental certificates trade process
- Draft, amend, and review purchase and sale contracts as well as Framework/General Agreements for certificates and potentially physical trades in a timely and accurate manner
- Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to manage the contract lifecycle from initiation to completion while collaborating with the global team to align and implement processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records
- Support various automation projects to aid team efficiency
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years of experience contract management or negotiation in a commodity trading environment including knowledge of commodity trading terms and conditions
- Fantastic attention to detail with the ability to work independently, including as part of a team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic about environmental commodities
Compensation: $25 per hour, 25-30 hours per week
