What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Improve the design of the vehicles according to the needs of manufacturing to enable stable and ergonomic processes that are feasible for high volume manufacturing. Identify, decide, and implement technical requirements from manufacturing to influence product design. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production control, and engineering to provide product design and product concepts according to the needs of General Assembly and Battery Assembly. Use CAD-Data-Analysis, Simulations, and virtual tests to identify risks for high volume manufacturing. Identify and implement ideas to improve product design to ensure stable assembly processes and minimal rework in series production. Ensure that all products are designed to meet assembly requirements and that product design is feasible for high volume manufacturing. Provide instruction and guidance about required techniques and regulations.

- The responsibilities of this role require 4-5 daysattendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: Automotive engineering processes; Validation testing; Creation of DFMEA, PFMEA, Boundary Diagram, and Control Plan in the automotive manufacturing industry; CATIA V5; Solid Works; GD&T; and BOMs.
