D R Newitt's Engineering & Manufacturing Division is delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced Manual Turner for their established production facility in the Glasgow area.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating manual turning and thread milling machinery
- Machining components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Deburring and finishing machined parts
- Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards
- Machine set-up and routine maintenance activities
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production
- Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment
- Assisting with training and knowledge sharing where required
About You
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent manufacturing qualification
- Proven experience operating manual turning machinery
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of machining processes and quality standards
- Good numerical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with additional manual machining equipment would be advantageous
