Major Duties
Presents educational programming to K-12 students both in the classrooms and on field trips in the National Parks Service unit. Researches, develops, and presents a variety of original, thematic interpretative outreach programs to school groups of all ages both in the preserve and in neighboring communities, i.e. wet walks, canoe trips, bike trips, Power Point presentations, demonstrations, night sky programs. Assists in the facilitation of a variety of teacher workshops. Works on a variety of assigned education and interpretation projects that may include revising and developing teaching materials, lesson plans and activities that are age appropriate. Participates in and assists in planning of Special events and festivals with partner agencies and organizations to provide information, programs and activities.
