Job & Company Description:
This role is suited to a seasoned engineer with strong expertise in solar PV and battery energy storage systems. You will take ownership of high-value projects, driving technical design, costings, and execution across utility-scale and commercial installations.
You will operate at a senior level, ensuring that complex energy systems are designed efficiently, delivered within budget, and executed to the highest technical standard.
Education:
- BEng / BTech in Electrical Engineering or related field
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 5–6 years’ experience in solar PV and BESS projects
- Proven experience working on large-scale installations (1MW – 10MW)
- Strong capability in high-level system design and engineering calculations
- Experience with project costing, budgeting, and commercial inputs
- Solid understanding of grid-tied systems, inverters, and battery technologies
- Familiarity with design tools (PV*Sol, Helioscope or similar – advantageous)
- Strong project oversight and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead high-level design of solar PV and BESS systems
- Develop project costings, proposals, and technical solutions
- Oversee project execution from design through to commissioning
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with EPCs, contractors, and internal teams
- Monitor project performance, timelines, and budgets
- Provide technical leadership and support across projects
- Identify risks and drive solutions to ensure successful delivery
