This position is located in NPS Regional Office Serving Interior Regions 6,7 and 8, in the Superintendents Office.
Major Duties
In this exciting and challenging position you serve as the Superintendent of Petroglyph National Monument. The incumbent directs the overall operation under full delegated authority for all phases of park operations. Provides management direction and oversight for the management of cultural and natural resources; planning, construction and maintenance of facilities; visitor and resource protection services; interpretive/educational outreach operations; administrative functions and cooperative relations with local/federal/regional and tribal governments non-profit partners, local communities and citizens' groups. Manage park activities to ensure maximum use of personnel, materials and funds so that the park's cultural and natural resources are protected and preserved while ensuring visitor enjoyment. Provides long-term vision as well as leadership, motivation, inspiration and follow through to staff, volunteers, partners and public.
