We are seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team based in our Perth corporate office.Youwillbe responsible forprovidingstrategic advice and overseeing technical environmental impact assessments with theobjectiveof securing environmental approvals for Iluka’s projects. Approvals may relate tonewprojects,operational expansionor upgradeprojects,exploration works, closureplanningorsiterelinquishment.

Working within a dynamic environmental team, you willbe responsible for:
Scoping approvals and preparing fit-for-purpose approval strategy documents
Managing and delivering environmental impact statement (EIS) programs, including:
Developing technical scopes of work for impact assessments
Managing request-for-tender (RFT)/request-for-proposal (RFP) processes
Onboarding and managing technical consultants
Developing and tracking EIS/study schedules
Supervising environmental study field programs
Undertaking critical review of consultant technical reports for alignment with statutory assessment requirements and the Iluka management system
Developing and maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships with Government agencies and other stakeholders
Identifying approvals risks early and designing pragmatic mitigation strategies to support project delivery outcomes
Preparation of high-quality approvals documentation
Supporting approvals delivery across Iluka’s broader project portfolio, including interstate collaboration and peak workload sharing
Completing desktop and due diligence assessments to inform project feasibility, compliance and approvals requirements
Providing environmental guidance to Iluka project and operational teams to ensure compliance
