Job Description Summary
The Sustainability Planning & Transformation Specialist (m/f/d) drives the development of the processes, data foundations, analytics capabilities, and forward-looking planning approaches that support the Electrification Segment’s sustainability ambitions. This role focuses on transforming the underlying operating model that enables high-quality, decision-useful, and auditable sustainability information across the organization.
The role will bring a strong planning and analysis mindset to sustainability, helping the business move from retrospective tracking toward forward-looking performance management, forecasting, and scenario-based decision support. Working across Finance, Digital Technology, Operations, and Supply Chain, the job holder leads or supports transformation initiatives in areas such as data structure, analytics, AI-enabled use cases, forecasting, and sustainability resilience for both own operations and the supply chain.
This role requires a combination of sustainability knowledge, financial discipline, analytical strength, process leadership, and change management capability. The successful candidate helps embed sustainability into business planning and finance processes while supporting robust controls, external audit readiness, and scalable ways of working.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support sustainability transformation projects across data, digital, AI, analytics, and process improvement, with a focus on practical implementation and business value.
- Further contribute to the development of sustainability planning, forecasting, and performance analysis capabilities, applying a FP&A mindset.
- Partner with Finance, Digital, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to improve data quality, process consistency, and decision-useful insights.
- Help continue building and enhancing models, forecasts, and scenario analyses related to sustainability performance, including resilience topics & external partnerships.
- Support initiatives that strengthen sustainability resilience across own operations and the supply chain through structured analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Contribute to the integration of sustainability considerations into finance processes, planning routines, and performance discussions.
- Help ensure that sustainability data, methodologies, and processes are documented and robust enough to support external audit and assurance expectations.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve sustainability-related processes and support adoption of new tools and ways of working.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in sustainability, performance management, or transformation-related roles.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance tracking.
- Experience working across Electrification Segment and functions on process improvement, data, digital, or systems initiatives.
- Good understanding of Electrification sustainability ambition, topics and metrics, and ability to connect them to business and finance processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a global, matrixed environment, including GEV head quarters.
