To develop our energy business, we are looking for a Vice President, Head of Engineering to join the Renewable and Energy division in Lyngby. In this role, you will report to Senior Vice President, Klaus Winther Ringgard, and lead a diverse team of highly skilled professionals. As Head of Engineering, you will be part of the senior leadership team in Renewable Energy, where we focus on collaborative teamwork and the will to win jointly.
You will play a key role in creating close collaboration and shared ownership across teams, helping support the development and growth of our renewable energy business across wind, solar, and grid infrastructure.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Guide and role model according to COWI's values and leadership behaviours.
- Support optimal project delivery and high profitability by ensuring ideal staffing, resolution to technical obstacles, and participation in customer and senior project team meetings.
- Closely interact with the Market team to facilitate COWI has the right capabilities for future projects.
- Stay up to date and define overall needs for technical development across disciplines, translating growth plans and strategic direction into resource planning and plans for development and talent acquisition.
- Supervise, spare with and manage performance of teams of Technical Directors and Heads of Disciplines to ensure their ability to perform well.
- Build engagement and enable a motivated, diverse and inclusive culture with professional and individual development that set COWI up for sustainable growth.

On top of that, you have:
- A relevant technical professional degree, with 10+ years of experience.
- Comprehensive management experience.
- Experience in the energy sector, including an understanding of renewable power generation from solar and wind, power systems engineering, grid and transmission.
- An existing network within the energy and electrical sector in DK to support future market growth.
- Professional proficiency in Danish and/or English.

Work location
The position is based at our headquarter in Lyngby or our large regional office in Aarhus, Denmark, where you will lead your team while actively collaborating with colleagues and project teams across our other offices.
