The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. The Toledo Zoo is currently seeking a Bartender Leader who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, leading a team to ensure smooth and efficient bar operations.
The bartender leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities and operations of all bar tended special events. Lead subordinate staff in the preparation and execution of day-to-day needs dependent on event. Assists with daily and monthly inventory control. Adheres to all policies and procedures set forth by the Toledo Zoo and local Liquor Agency. Reports to Food Service Managers.
This position reports to the Food Services Managers, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over forty (40) in a work week.
Minimum Training & Qualifications
- Previous bartending and cocktail mixing experience required.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
- Must possess strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on your feet, and be outside in winter and summer elements for serval hours at a time.
- Flexibility to work schedules includes weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
- The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
