This position is with the Invasive Plant Management Teams located in the Natural Resource Stewardship and Science Directorate, Interior Region 1, North Atlantic Appalachian Regional Office. This is a TEMPORARY seasonal appointment not to exceed 1039 hours work in a service year. Open to the first 50 applicants or until 05/29/2026 whichever comes first. Major Duties
As a Biological Science Technician (Plants) GS-0404-05 with the National Park Service (NPS), your duties will include, but are not limited to: Implements established natural resource management projects. Follows instructions and standardized procedures, collects and organizes field data. Ensures adequate quality control of data collected. Performs routine and recurring testing of collected samples. Records all data collected and provides preliminary assessment and classification of the information. Works with crews managing invasive plants and restoring native vegetation. Makes field observations of natural resource conditions. Evaluates observed conditions and problems and makes preliminary determinations on the cause of problems noted.
