Summary

Major Duties
Collects and accounts for visitor fees at park locations while adhering to strict government cash-handling rules. Provides customer service, determines eligibility for park and interagency passes, and issues receipts, tickets, permits, and refunds using cash registers and POS systems. Completes shift reports, safeguards collected funds, and manages accountable stock. Uses reservation systems (e.g., Recreation.gov) to process payments and reservations, explain regulations, and provide park information. Operates a variety of fee-program technologies, conducts fee-compliance checks at staffed and unstaffed locations, and verifies proper campground payments. Restocks fee-program supplies and maintains accurate accountability records, including spreadsheets.
