As our new Environmental Project Manager (Intermediate), you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

Role
You will work closely with a group of amazing professionals in the contaminated sites assessment and remediation industry to design, implement, and deliver a wide range of projects for a diverse client base across ON in the Power, Energy, Infrastructure, Mining, Industrial, and Built Environment sectors. These projects will include a range of responsibilities from managing interdisciplinary projects to authoring technical summary reports, designing work programs, preparing competitive proposals for new work, and mentoring staff.
Responsibilities:
- Management of contaminated sites projects such as site investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, and remediation programs, to ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction
- Coordination and supervision of field staff and subcontractors
- Engagement of experienced senior team members, including Project Directors, Qualified Professionals (QPESA), and technical specialists to develop work plans and execute projects
- Analysis and interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports for senior review and submission to clients and regulators
- Liaison and relationship building with clients and other project stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery
- Active participation in proposals and other business development opportunities to build SLR’s client base and revenue stream
- Provision of technical leadership through mentoring of staff during field programs, project delivery and for other aspects such as Health and Safety, training, team building and other, as required
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings and interpretations with various scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines
- Actioning difficult project challenges with curiosity and positivity

- The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Qualifications/Education/Memberships:
- 5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry
- Strong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, excess soil programs, soil vapour and indoor air sampling programs, and/or construction environmental management.
Specialization in other environmental disciplines is helpful and can supplement your core experiences. - Working knowledge of provincial (O.Reg. 153 and O.Reg. 406) and federal (CCME) environmental regulations and guidelines
- Experience sampling for PFAS and/or managing projects involving PFAS is an asset
- Experience managing environmental site assessment and remediation programs for federal clients is an asset
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or geosciences preferred
- Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization (P.Eng., P.Geo., including Limited P.Eng. or P.Geo.) preferred
- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for travel to job sites/clients
