About Solar Provider Group
Solar Provider Group (SPG) is a global solar developer with offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands and active projects across North America and Europe. This role is part of the Company’s North American team, which is focused primarily on the development of solar and BESS projects in the United States and Canada, with most current activity in the United States. We identify, secure, and advance high-quality sites through the full development cycle, from early-stage land acquisition to construction readiness. Our team combines technical expertise, financial insight, and strong local relationships to deliver projects that accelerate the clean-energy transition and create lasting value for landowners and communities.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organized, commercially minded, and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead solar and BESS projects from early-stage site evaluation through to construction readiness. Reporting to the Head of Development, this role is responsible for managing complex development portfolios, coordinating internal teams and external consultants, and driving projects forward across permitting, interconnection, stakeholder engagement, and related development workstreams.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of the U.S. regulatory landscape, solid project management discipline, and the judgment and leadership skills required to advance multiple projects on time, on budget, and in compliance with applicable requirements.
Work Location
For candidates based in the United States: This position is fully remote and will be performed from the successful candidate’s home office while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
For candidates based in Toronto: This is a hybrid role based in the Company’s Liberty Village office, with an expected schedule of at least three days per week in the office and the balance worked remotely from the successful candidate’s home office, subject in each case to business needs and the Company’s work practices from time to time.
In either case, frequent travel across U.S. states to visit project sites and engage with local communities should be expected.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage consultants and project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all deliverables; conduct site visits and coordinate field staff and consultants.
- Review, negotiate, and manage project contracts, including leases, interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements, consultant contracts, term sheets, and project buyer agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Perform due diligence on solar projects by coordinating with internal functional teams (e.g., business development, legal, real estate, project finance, engineering) and external consultants and advisors.
- Utilize planning tools to effectively monitor and optimize project costs and timelines.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and records related to budgets, schedules, quality, and project management activities.
- Develop sales presentations, proposals, and supporting materials to facilitate the transaction of construction-ready projects.
