Fabrication Operations:
- Manage and oversee daily fabrication activities including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly;
- Interpret and review technical drawings, specifications, and job cards;
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Milling Department:
- Oversee milling operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, and adherence to specifications;
- Ensure proper machine utilization, tooling availability, and preventive maintenance;
- Work closely with engineering and production planning to align milling output with fabrication needs;
Stock & Inventory Management:
- Oversee raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods stock control;
- Ensure accurate stock levels, minimizing shortages and overstocking;
- Implement and maintain effective stock control systems and procedures;
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials;
Quality, Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations (OHS Act);
- Conduct regular inspections, Planned job Task observations, and toolbox talks;
- Address non-conformances and implement corrective actions;
People Management:
- Lead, train, and develop supervisors and shop-floor staff;
- Manage performance, attendance, discipline, and skills development;
Planning & Reporting:
- Plan production schedules in line with customer demand and capacity;
- Monitor Objective and Target KPIs such as productivity, scrap rates, downtime, and labor efficiency;
- Prepare and submit daily operational and production.
