Join a leading renewable energy EPC company delivering large-scale commercial and industrial solar projects across South Africa. You will play a key role in the execution of turnkey solar PV and battery storage projects—from design coordination through to construction and commissioning.The business specialises in full lifecycle delivery including engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance of bespoke solar energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle of solar PV and hybrid energy projects
- Coordinate engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Oversee procurement and ensure correct equipment selection (modules, inverters, BOS, BESS)
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Support site activities including installation, testing, and commissioning
- Conduct technical reviews and resolve engineering challenges
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and handover packs
- Assist with performance optimization and post-installation support
Minimum Requirements
- BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- 3–7+ years’ experience in renewable energy or EPC project environments
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (grid-tied, hybrid, or off-grid)
- Experience managing construction or infrastructure projects
- Understanding of South African electrical standards and regulations
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office
- Willingness to travel to project sites
Advantageous
- Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Professional registration (ECSA or in progress)
- Knowledge of PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) project models
- Exposure to commercial & industrial-scale solar in
