MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric essential; relevant technical qualification (Electrical Engineering, N3–N6, or similar) advantageous
- Minimum 5–8 years' B2B technical sales experience in the electrical, lighting, or energy sector
- Proven track record closing large commercial or industrial project sales (shopping centres, large developments, infrastructure)
- Established network of relationships with contractors, developers, M&E consultants, and specifiers
- Strong technical knowledge of low-voltage electrical products, cabling, distribution, and/or solar/renewable energy systems
- Ability to work from construction drawings, BOQs, and project specifications
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and develop a strategic pipeline of large commercial and industrial B2B project opportunities
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with contractors, M&E consultants, developers, and specifiers
- Provide technical product recommendations across low-voltage electrical, cabling, lighting, distribution, and solar/renewable energy solutions
- Prepare and present technical proposals, BOQs, and project-specific quotations
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and gross margin objectives
- Monitor market activity, competitor positioning, and project pipelines
- Represent the business at industry events and client site visits
A leading national distributor of electrical, lighting, and renewable energy products seeks a Senior Technical Sales Executive to own and grow the large commercial and industrial project segment. This is a senior hunter role — we are looking for someone with a proven record of closing significant B2B deals in large-scale commercial environments such as shopping centres, commercial office developments, hospitals, and major infrastructure or construction projects.
You will manage the full sales cycle and be the primary relationship owner across key commercial clients including main contractors, electrical contractors, M&E consultants, project developers, and specifying engineers.
Only candidates with demonstrable large commercial / industrial project sales experience will be considered.
