Our client is seeking a highly motivated Proposal Engineer to support the commercial and technical development of solar and hybrid energy solutions. You will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive, and technically sound proposals for clients across commercial and industrial sectors
Key Responsibilities
- Develop preliminary and detailed solar PV and BESS system designs
- Interpret client requirements, tender documents, and technical specifications
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for C&I and utility-scale projects
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
- Perform system sizing, yield analysis, and financial modelling
- Compile BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing structures
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams
- Support the sales team during client engagements and presentations
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Optimise designs for cost, efficiency, and performance
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3–7 years’ experience in solar PV design and proposals
- Strong knowledge of PV systems, inverters, and BESS solutions
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Helioscope, PVsyst, AutoCAD)
- Understanding of grid integration and local regulations
- Strong commercial awareness and costing experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Advantageous
- Professional registration (ECSA or in progress)
- Experience with large-scale or C&I solar projects
- Familiarity with tendering processes and EPC environments
