Job description
Reporting to the Renewables Operations Manager, the post holder is responsible for managing site-based activities, projects to ensure renewable installations and servicing contracts are delivered on time, to the required standards, within budget, whilst maximising client satisfaction. The post holder will be responsible for working with various Contract Managers/Supervisors, Administration staff and reporting all contract matters e.g., time, cost, performance, defects, to the Operations Manager. The post holder will also be responsible for all CDM related matters within the contracts they are managing this includes but is not limited to the H&S, Design, Drawings, RAMS, COSHH Sheets, Handover Documents, and so on.
Responsibilities
- Managing engineers, projects, one off domestic jobs and commercial installations of solar PV.
- Accountable for agreed financial targets, KPI’s, project, budgets etc.
- Engaging with multiple internal and external stakeholders to represent operations, providing support accordingly.
- Pre-Start surveying of all job types.
- Deliver complete projects from cradle to grave with operational assistance and H&S assistance where needed.
- Document creation including RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, COSHH data sheets, Programs, Commissioning documents, Logbooks, Emergency Processes, Handover documents, Permits, etc.
- Alter/produce drawings such as (but not limited to) Pre-Construction, Construction, As installed, (Red line, Blue Line, Back line). All to suit project requirements.
- Manage, organise & distribution of Labour requirements for current workloads and future workloads, assist with helping to recruit and with job adverts where necessary.
- Quality Checks and Health and Safety Audits, while work is in progress and when work has been completed (WIP & QA audits)
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential future client(s), tenants, and external customers.
- Ensure all paperwork is returned, checked, and any remedial actions planned and completed etc.
Qualifications
- Full, clean Driving License.
- Hold valid in date trade and H&S specific Cards and Accreditations.
- Electrical qualification would be advantageous
Competencies
- Understanding and passion for the solar sector.
- Able to prioritise, and liaise at all levels.
- Extensive knowledge of both electrical and roofing aspects of PV installation.
- Ability to provide technical support and report to clients/stakeholders & operations.
- Based/Commutable to Oldbury or Stoke.
- Approachable and positive role model to the team.
- Proactive with a can-do attitude, demonstrating the Phoenix values.
- Highly organised ensuring tasks are performed in line with company procedures, and in a timely manner.

Experience
- Proven experience in Solar PV projects is essential-(demonstrate renewables projects completed on time and on budget).
- Experience in operations.
- Experience in managing teams, both direct and sub contractors.
- In depth knowledge of MSC and the auditing process around this.
- An in-depth understanding of the duties required for the Renewable Manager, supervisors, engineers, and administration team.
- Excellent computer skills in such programs as but not limited to MS Office all programs, CAD, MSC design software for heat loss etc.
