About the Role
Working from our facilities in Glasgow, your mission is to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse materials, supporting our business operations and meeting customer demand. Your efforts enable us to deliver and install solar panels seamlessly across Scotland and Northern England. You will adhere to all health and safety (H&S) procedures, contributing to a positive health and safety culture within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Goods in: Receipt and storage of goods, loading and unloading of vehicles, checking off and returning unused kit
- FLT safety checks
- Goods out: Ensure kits are picked for installation teams; delivering stock to site when necessary.
- Stock control: Actively participate in weekly and monthly stock take; notify Logistics Manager of shortages; calculating consumable stock requirements.
- Facilities: ensuring warehouse and grounds are clean and presentable; ensure skips are emptied as required; daily/weekly/monthly H&S checks and relevant paperwork; opening up /locking up procedures for building.
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedule
- Support project coordinating orders to ensure accuracy for pick lists.
About You
You will:
- Have a full Drivers licence
- Have experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Be detail-oriented and take pride in ensuring accuracy in your work.
- Be organised, with good time management and problem solving skills.
- Be a team player with strong communication skills.
- Committed to health and safety standards.
- Be qualified and experienced as a High Reach Forklift Truck driver (requalification training can be provided)
- Have a good level of numeracy and literacy
- Have good organisational and record keeping skills
- Be computer literate
