Role Overview<\/b><\/span>
<\/span><\/div>

Swaniti Initiative invites applications for the position of Senior Associate. The position is to support policy research, program design, and implementation in the areas of industrial decarbonization, MSMEs, DISCOMs, and renewable energy. The role involves close engagement with subnational governments, industry stakeholders, and technical experts, with a geographic focus on Global South.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
<\/span><\/div>Provide technical and strategic inputs to sub -national governments across the<\/span><\/span> Global South in the industrial sector.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Support the design and implementation of industrial decarbonization adoption<\/span><\/span> programs, including pilots and scale -up initiatives, from a government lens, while leveraging exposure to private sector functioning and market realities.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>Conduct policy research and analysis related to industrial decarbonization <\/span><\/span>pathways, clean technologies, energy efficiency, and low -carbon solutions, particularly for MSMEs.
<\/span><\/li>Develop concept notes, technical frameworks, and advisory inputs for <\/span><\/span>government and industry stakeholders, with a focus on identifying pathways to scale key initiatives related to schemes for MSMEs and similar programs.
<\/span><\/li>Support the design and assessment of policies and programs related to <\/span><\/span>DISCOM reforms, renewable energy deployment, and grid integration relevant to industrial decarbonization.
<\/span><\/li>Identify and analyse regulatory, financial, and market barriers to adoption of <\/span><\/span>clean energy and decarbonization solutions.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Lead or support stakeholder consultations with state government officials, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>public sector entities, industry associations, subject matter experts, and development partners.
<\/span><\/li>Prepare high -quality policy briefs, research reports, technical notes, <\/span><\/span>presentations, and knowledge products.
<\/span><\/li>Assist in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of ongoing projects, pilots, and <\/span><\/span>policy interventions.
<\/span><\/li>Track national and international developments in climate policy, energy <\/span><\/span>transition, and industrial decarbonization to inform program strategy and design.

Qualifications<\/b><\/span>

Educational Background:
<\/b>
<\/span><\/div>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferred domain but not limited to <\/span><\/span>Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering)
<\/span><\/li>Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration (MBA - Preferably <\/span><\/span>Sustainability, Energy Management or similar subject), or Public Policy. Professional Experience:
<\/span><\/li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Decarbonization, <\/span><\/span>public policy, energy, climate change, DISCOM, DRE, or related domains.
<\/span><\/li>Experience working with or advising state governments, public sector <\/span><\/span>institutions, or multilateral/development organizations is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies<\/b><\/span>
<\/span><\/div>Experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including state government <\/span><\/span>officials, public sector agencies, subject matter experts, consultants, and industry representatives.
<\/span><\/li>Strong quantitative and qualitative skills for policy analysis and development <\/span><\/span>of policy frameworks.
<\/span><\/li>Demonstrated ability to identify sector needs and lead research, analysis, and <\/span><\/span>project activities.
<\/span><\/li>Proven strategic and critical thinking skills, including the ability to develop new <\/span><\/span>work areas and lead collaborations across stakeholders.
<\/span><\/li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on <\/span><\/span>high -quality policy writing.<\/span>
<\/li>Strong interpersonal, relationship -building, and networking skills.
<\/span><\/li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple <\/span><\/span>workstreams, teams, and timelines.
<\/span><\/li>Experience in working with and managing consultants and subcontractors.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Strong visualisation and presentation skills, including proficiency with MS <\/span><\/span>PowerPoint and related tools.<\/span>
