DescriptionKey Responsibilities
1. Energy & Performance Modelling
- Prepare detailed building energy models using IESVE to support sustainable design strategies and green building rating compliance.
- Proficient with APHVAC module of IESVE for creating and analyzing HVAC systems in IESVE.
- Capable of analyzing energy results, Thermal comfort analysis and performing engineering checks.
- Utilize Pollination, Rhino, and preferred plug-ins such as Ladybug and Honeybee to conduct parametric building performance analysis.
- Perform daylight simulations using tools such as Radiance (sDA) and Speckle to optimize daylight availability and visual comfort.
2. Building Systems Analysis
- Analyze and optimize the performance of HVAC systems, lighting systems, building envelopes, and passive design strategies using software tools, spreadsheets, and manual engineering calculations.
- Conduct assessments related to Green Star, LEED, BREEAM and other green building rating systems, with emphasis on HVAC and energy‑related credits.
- Prepare clear, logical, and comprehensive energy reports, technical spreadsheets, and professional PowerPoint presentations.
Project Management & Coordination
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams through emails, meetings, and project correspondence to gather necessary inputs and ensure alignment with sustainability objectives.
- Communicate and explain analysis results, design implications, and recommendations to project managers and stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings, track progress, and ensure timely follow‑up on assigned tasks.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provide regular updates and technical insights to the project manager.
Preferred Additional Technical Qualifications
- Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP)
- LEED AP, IGBC AP, or equivalent
- Technical certification in HVAC Engineering, Energy Engineering, or credentials such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
Qualifications
Person Specifications:
- B.E. or M.E./ M. Tech in Engineering (preferably mechanical)
- Experience in HVAC; building energy audits; sustainability
- Working experience in use of following software: IES, Firstrate5, eQUEST, Energyplus, Open studio, eTool etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel, Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit preferred
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Good organizational skills with ability to independently manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
