Summary
This position is located in Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, in the Interpretation and Education Program. The typical seasonal period for Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is May - November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2026. NOTE: OPM has identified this position as eligible for an exception to the typical 1039 hour season.
Major Duties
Expresses information (ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (i.e. technical, sensitive, controversial); Makes clear and convincing oral presentations, listens to other, attends to visitor needs and questions providing professional customer service. Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Operate the park visitor center, track park statistics, and ensure visitor safety. Manages group processes; encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, and group identity; fosters commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve goals.
