Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking for a driven Regional Health Safety and Environmental Manager to join the team of the North American HQ in Troy, MI.
The Regional HSE Manager will ensure a safe manufacturing environment by developing, enforcing, and monitoring safety policies (OSHA/EPA) to minimize accidents. Along with follow up on RBA and conflict minerals assessment. Key duties include conducting risk assessments, managing workers' compensation, training staff, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards (14001/45001) in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities of the Regional HSE Manager:
- Compliance Management: Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Inspect facilities, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions (Gemba walks).
- Safety Culture: Train employees, conduct audits, and promote "see it/say it/fix it" behaviors.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigation of accidents, analyze root causes, and submit reports.
- Emergency Response: Develop and maintain fire, medical, and security emergency plans.
- Environmental Control: Manage waste disposal, spill prevention, and chemical handling.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor KPIs such as TRIR Total Recordable Incident Rate and DART (Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred) to drive continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications of the Regional HSE Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or Environmental Science.
- Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing (automotive preferred), with strong knowledge of industrial processes.
- Certifications: ISO 14001 / 45001 OSHA 30, or CSP (Certified Safety Professional).
- Skills: Strong leadership, incident investigation, and regulatory reporting abilities.
- Knowledge : Strong compliance law knowledge especially federal
- License: PE license a plus for building and equipment compliance
