Bracco is an international Group active in the healthcare sector and a leader in diagnostic imaging. The Group’s main products are contrast agents sold in over 100 countries, both directly and indirectly through branches, joint ventures and license and distribution agreements.
The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s environmental management system, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations. This role focuses on environmental risk prevention, process safety integration and continuous improvement through audits and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) plans.
Key Responsibilities
Incident Prevention & Investigation:
Identify environmental risks and implement preventive measures.
Lead investigations of environmental incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Lead and support Environmental Incident and Spill prevention programs within operations
Environmental Management:
Contribute to develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies and procedures aligned with ISO 14001 and company standards.
Maintain compliance with Italian environmental regulations (e.g., D.Lgs. 152/2006, AIA – Autorizzazione Integrata Ambientale, AUA – Autorizzazione Unica Ambientale, VIA – Valutazione di Impatto Ambientale).
Ensure adherence to Company and international standards (e.g., EU REACH, Seveso III Directive, Basel Convention).
Process Safety & ADR Compliance:
Collaborate with Process Safety teams to integrate environmental risk into safety assessments.
Ensure compliance with ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) for hazardous materials within Environmental management.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in environmental management within industrial or manufacturing settings.
Strong knowledge of Italian and international environmental legislation and permitting processes (AIA, AUA, VIA).
Familiarity with international standards and frameworks (ISO 14001, EU REACH, ADR, Seveso III).
Experience in incident investigation, audits, and CAPA planning.
Fluency in English and Italian.
Skills
Analytical, data management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Travel Requirements
This role involves travel to support environmental activities, with approximately 40% of working time spent on-site. Travel will be primarily within Italy, with occasional international trips if required.
