Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee waste audits across Canada
- Communicating with GFL Environmental Inc. operations and sales team to communicate project timelines and service requirements
- Data entry, report writing, waste analysis and project planning
- Complete and send client diversion reports: monthly data entry and analysis of customer waste programs
- Assist clients with a wide variety of requests
- Implementation of recycling and waste reduction programs
- Customizing educational programs and marketing/signage material that fits the customer’s site-specific needs
- Set up training sessions for cleaners/client staff/Lunch n’ Learns for tenants, etc.
- Hold educational booth displays/trade show booth displays, mostly during Waste Reduction Week and Earth Week
- Submitting environmental awards and recognition applications (LEED, BOMA)
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- University degree or college diploma in environmental studies and/or sustainability is preferred
- Must be able to travel across Canada
- Must have own vehicle and valid "G" class driver's license
- Comfortable with physical sorting of waste material; lifting over 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, and the physical sorting of waste materials in changing environments
- Experience or working knowledge of commercial and/or municipal waste management
- Knowledge of current environmental issues, applicable Environmental and Waste legislations (i.e. MOE Regulations 102/94) is an asset
- Strong, intermediate level computer literacy utilizing MS Office applications and proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- A passion and proven commitment to excellent customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and to apply effective leadership skills in group settings
- Business writing skills
- Managing and organizing projects
