Introduction

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the full delivery of commercial and industrial solar projects. Operating with autonomy, the PM takes ownership from Sales Handover to Final Handover, ensuring that projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.

The PM is expected to interpret EPC/tender documentation, manage internal and external stakeholders, and coordinate all technical, logistical, and administrative components of project execution.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage all phases of assigned solar projects from sales handover to practical and final handover.
Interpret EPC/tender contracts and apply them across technical and commercial execution.
Prepare, adjust, and manage project-specific BOQs; coordinate procurement and delivery scheduling.
Assign and track project tasks and milestones in CRM; maintain accurate progress updates.
Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Procurement, Admin, Commissioning) to align timelines and responsibilities.
Ensure contractors are briefed, managed, and monitored in line with the scope of work and safety standards.
Enforce Health & Safety compliance; ensure all documentation (H&S file, Notice of Construction, etc.) is in place before work starts.
Attend and lead on-site inspections, contractor meetings, and progress reviews.
Prepare and compile all project documentation, including COC and client handover packs.
Escalate technical, legal, or commercial risks to the Senior PM.
Support Junior PMs operationally when working on shared projects.
Recommend improvements to project systems, tools, and workflows.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

3–5 years’ experience in project management within renewable energy sector
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, solar installations, and site logistics
Proven experience managing full project delivery independently
Skilled in reading and applying EPC contracts, technical drawings, and BOQs
Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Zoho, MS Project, Excel)
Sound knowledge of construction-related Health & Safety requirements
Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
SACPCMP or ECSA registration (advantageous)
