A company in the renewable space is seeking a highly experienced Part -time Bookkeeper to provide finance support across three SMEs, for approximately 8 hours per week, spread over two mornings. This is an independent contractor position with a hybrid work arrangement: initial in -person training in Fourways, thereafter primarily remote.

Responsibilities:
<\/b><\/div>Manage cash flow and oversee cash movements
<\/span><\/li>Reconcile cashbooks between Standard Bank Business Online accounts and Xero
<\/span><\/li>Validate and allocate credit card and fleet card expenses
<\/span><\/li>Prepare, reconcile, and submit VAT, provisional tax, and corporate tax
<\/span><\/li>Liaise with external auditors and support annual financial statements and CIPC filings
<\/span><\/li>Manage debtors: follow up on outstanding amounts and send statements
<\/span><\/li>Manage creditors: invoice capture and preparation of supplier payments
<\/span><\/li>Compile month -end management reporting packs, including P&L and spend trends (top 5 customers, suppliers, expense categories)
<\/span><\/li>Process weekly and ad hoc payments
<\/span><\/li>Payroll process flow (start to finish) processing on Payspace, statutory submissions (EMP201, EMP501), IRP5 availability, and UIF submissions.
<\/span><\/li>Provide financial guidance and advice to CEO and Office Manager
<\/span><\/li>Support and mentor Finance Administrators
<\/span><\/li>Ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Requirements<\/h3>
Minimum 5 years’ senior finance experience, preferably in multi -entity SMEs
<\/span><\/li>Advanced Xero proficiency (Certified Associate or equivalent)
<\/span><\/li>SARS eFiling and SARS EasyFile experience
<\/span><\/li>Experience with Deel Local Payroll by Payspace advantageous
<\/span><\/li>Strong bookkeeping, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance skills
<\/span><\/li>Ability to provide sound financial advice to management
<\/span><\/li>Organised, self -motivated, and able to work independently
<\/span><\/li>Comfortable with remote work after initial training
<\/span><\/li>Ability to travel to Fourways for initial training
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
