DescriptionJob Summary:
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care under the guidance and the direction of the office provider. A key part of the Radiology Technologist responsibilities is to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in accordance with policy and procedure, practicing radiation safety methods at all times. Additional patient care responsibilities will be assigned by the office supervisor/manager.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrates flexibility to meet staffing needs of the department and organization.
2. Provides age-appropriate and population specific patient care in a safe, skillful,
accurate and efficient manner to pediatric, adolescent, adults and geriatric
populations.
3. Identifies patient and family learning needs and provides ongoing education and
evaluation.
4. Uses proper positioning and technical factors to obtain high quality images.
5. Proficiently operates radiographic equipment.
6. Is in compliance with all radiation safety standards.
7. Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner, according to
policies and procedures.
8. Supports patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural, ethical and
religious diversity.
QualificationsEducation Requirements and Other Requirements:
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Formal radiologic technology training in AMA approved school. Must be
ARRT registered and IDNS licensed unrestricted. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
