Job Summary:
The Plant/ Office Janitor is responsible for supporting plant cleanliness, housekeeping, and basic safety-related tasks. This role is essential in helping maintain a safe and orderly work environment by consistently following safety protocols and lead by example.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with general housekeeping across the plant.
- Perform daily plant trash pickup, including walking the site
- Using air hose to blow down all machines, ceilings, walls in the plant.
- Clean plant signage across the facility
- Operate Sweeper, Forklift and Skid Steer
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong safety awareness and consistent use of PPE
- Ability to work in extreme weather and dirty environments
- Reliable and self-motivated with attention to detail
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and inspecting equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal or written instructions
- Background and Drug Screening: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to work in a hot and cold environment while wearing PPE
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor throughout the shift
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Compensation:
- $17.00 hourly. Paid bi-weekly.
