Job Summary:Supervises Quality and CMM Technicians, providing oversight and direction to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance.
What will make you successful?
Required Education/Experience:
- A two-year technical degree or engineering degree.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in quality assurance.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Quality Methodologies: Deep understanding of standards like ISO 9001 and IATF standards, Lean, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Statistical Process Control (SPC): Using data and statistics (like Minitab, Excel) to monitor, control, and improve processes.
- Manufacturing/Production: Understanding the actual production process, equipment, and potential failure points.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in quality management software, data analysis tools, and potentially ERP systems (like SAP).
- Motivating teams, conflict management, delegation, and team building.
- English, Spanish a plus
What you will be doing
- Complete all supervisor responsibilities for Quality Technicians, CMM Technicians, and Receiving Inspectors at multiple plant locations.ie: timekeeping, conduct accountability, and performance reviews.
- Assist in the development of inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans, or process control procedures that will ensure production of finished products that meet quality specifications and standards.
- Assist in the development of departmental procedures, including updating and distributing manuals and other documents.
- Maintain receiving, in process, and outbound inspection procedures and techniques.
- Oversee preparation of scrap, salvage, and rework reports.
- Follow up on production problems related to quality.
- Work with the Engineering Department on old and new projects to assure proper tolerance capability.
- Perform machine capability studies and R&R evaluations on check gauges.
- Approve setup samples.
- Review SPC data, set control limits, and calculate CPK values.
- Ensure compliance on all test methods, documentation, and records.
- Accurately report and trend data measurement results as needed.
- Perform and assist with supplier audits.
- Assist with processing and charge backs for supplier responsible nonconforming material.
- Conduct internal quality audits to ensure procedures are being followed in compliance with ISO/TS.
- Support with lab equipment up time and support maintenance calibration and recovery.
