Are you excited to spearhead the development of a growing platform that maximizes impact for nature conservation? Then jump on the train!
Conservation Connect
Conservation Connect (conservationconnect.earth) is a digital platform kickstarted by the Prince Bernhard Nature Fund (PBNF) together with other donors. It aims to be a catalyser for impact by breaking isolation of local conservation projects and enhancing their visibility, credibility, network and access to funds. It also gives donors an overview of all the projects they supported, providing a central reference point and insights in their grant allocation.
Donors of nature conservation projects and local nature organizations themselves often operate in isolation. There are many scattered efforts and there is very little overview, which makes the funding system highly inefficient. Donors do so much double work and often don’t exchange much information, while impactful projects operate largely under the radar. Conservation Connect changes this, by creating a central place where donors and projects come together. Since the launch three years ago, Conservation Connect grew to be a consortium of 20 donors and over 5.000 projects.
This is an exciting year for Conservation Connect, as it will be spinning off from PBNF and will become its own independent entity. The team will also be growing, so the environment will be dynamic. What we offer
As Product Manager of the Conservation Connect platform you'll have the opportunity to make your mark and the power to build something that can help thousands of organizations to conserve biodiversity worldwide. We offer a flexible and dynamic workplace in the centre of Amsterdam, part of the workweek can be worked from home. Salary range €46.000- €60.000 annually based on 4 days (32 hours) per week (prorated from €57.000- €75.000 annually based on full-time 40 hrs/wk employment), depending on experience.
More about us & why this is so cool
Since the Conservation Connect team is currently very small (<5 people), we hold office in the co-working space in the A'DAM Tower. This vibrant place with great views over the city is centrally located, but also very dynamic and source of other social contacts. As a team, we value open communication, respect, a positive work attitude and a healthy work-life balance. We usually have lunch together, sometimes in the company of other people from the co-working space.
Conservation Connect still falls within the PBNF with the vision of becoming an independent spin-off in this year. Conservation Connect is spearheaded by the PBNF and managed by the same director with which you will work closely together and report to. Together with the director you’ll be co-developing the strategy and the roadmap, discuss about other issues and brainstorm for solutions. The platform is built by an external development company with whom you’ll also work closely together. You’ll have great influence in determining strategy and functionalities of the platform. It is a great opportunity to learn and grow, for example for someone coming from a product owner position wanting to grow into product management. On top of that, you’ll be doing something purposeful for nature and biodiversity.
