Major Responsibilities: • Assist hiring managers and HR Business Partners with job postings; job offers; offer letter templates and identifying vacation allotment.• Responding to general inquiries from staff and hiring managers in a timely manner.• Conducting the on-boarding of new and returning employees; provides guidance to hiring manager on required hire documentation; provides detailed review ensuring compliance of documents; liaises with hiring manager if inconsistencies or missing forms; complete on-boarding of benefits and pension plan.• Provides support to Human Resources Business Partner and/or hiring managers on submitting hiring transactions and assists with the collection of required hire documentation, as required• Supports the HR team with various HR related initiatives and/or program implementation, including, but not limited to; mass summer/seasonal hiring, HR projects, etc.• Provides administrative support to the HR Team on various tasks, as required. What will you need to succeed:• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or a related field;• 2+ years of experience providing HR support or coordination;• Valid Ontario Driver’s License;• Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.• Able to comprehend written documentation and procedural guidelines; skilled in writing clear correspondence (concise, logical, grammatically correct);• Ability to communicate effectively with tact and courtesy; • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify problems in a timely manner, seeking the appropriate level of support to solve issues; • Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks as an ongoing challenge in a frequently fluctuating workload and multiple deadlines; • Knowledge of employment related legislation including, but not limited to Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act; • Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint.
