Requirements

Grade 12
Qualified Electrician with QCTO Red Seal (mandatory)
Up to 3 years solar installation experience (roof and ground mount systems)
National Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
AREP or SAPVIA PV Green Card
Experience with micro and string inverters and monitoring platforms
Solar installation of large scale projects - proven experience

Key Responsibilities

Install and commission residential, commercial, and industrial photovoltaic systems
Lead on-site installations and supervise assistants
Read and work from project plans and technical drawings
Install solar panels, inverters, racking, batteries, and monitoring systems
Diagnose and resolve system faults and operational issues
Ensure all work meets SANS standards, safety requirements, and approved designs
Communicate professionally with clients and project teams
Control quality, costs, and timelines on site
