Brief Description of Role & Responsibilities (envisage current & future needs)

Must have done two ground mount solar projects minimum 100MW of capacity

Candidate must have NTPC / NHPC / NLC / Private large developer projects executed experience.

Must have experience in designing and preparing AC/DC single line diagrams, Array layouts, Equipment layouts.

Preparing technical specification as per the tender document and plant design.

Candidate shall be well-versed with PVsyst simulation software and energy simulation.

Hands-on experience on AutoCAD Software for preparation Solar PV plant design drawings, especially single line diagram, plant layouts, inverter station layout and main control room.

Preparation of DC & AC cable schedule as per loss criteria.

Shall able to read the tender specifications and understand.

Candidate should have strong design calculation experience on :
1. Wire Harness / SCB Fuse Sizing.
2. SCB Sizing.
3. DC String & Power Cable sizing.
4. DC Earthing Sizing.
5. Lightning Arrestor Sizing.
6. UPS & Battery Sizing.
7. AC LT & HT Cable sizing.
8. AC Earthing Sizing.
9. Energy Generation estimation.
10. Auxiliary transformer sizing.

Guiding Draughtsman properly to ensure deliverables as per agreed plan with customer.

Shall have experience on preparation of preliminary BOQ for complete PV plant up to 33kV level.

Knowledge about major PV plant component technical specifications like String combiner box, Inverter, Inverter transformer and Switchgear panels.

Knowledge about IS, IEC codes and contemporary solar industry engineering practices.

Shall be flexible to conduct site visit as per project requirements.

Coordination of solar PV projects covering the phases within their development from project execution phase to commissioning assessments.

Understand the optimal design applications and design limitations of our standard products, and lead the evaluation of alternate products.

Attending calls and review meetings of design and detailing progress of the project.

Support to project manager and construction team to achieve construction & commissioning deadlines.

Site visits to analyze and mitigate the design challenges of under construction projects.

Work creatively and analytically in problem solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

Willing to Generate Weekly Work Progress and he needs to update day to day Activities, to the Reporting Head.

Needs to Maintain the Records & Follow-up Activities by Record especially for Drawings, Technical specification, Site Engineering activities.

Have Hands-on Experience of Solar ground mount PV plant Electrical designing including , substations and grid connection of large-scale solar power parks.
Should have in-depth knowledge on design calculation for cable sizing & calculation, shadow analysis, Power loss calculations, earth design, LA protection, Illumination, Transformers sizing, Auxiliary Battery& UPS sizing, , HV/LV breakers ,Relay setting, understanding ERT , ETAP study & Short circuit study, etc.
Should have in-depth knowledge of drawing and schematic preparation for AC/DC SLD, Array layout, Pile, Earthing Layouts, DC /AC /communication cable laying, trenches & sections, Illumination, CCTV, FAS, LA, Equipment layouts, etc.
Should have in-depth knowledge for preparing RFQ’s and technical dud elegance, vendor GTP& drawing for components/equipment’s such as PV modules, invertors, IDT LT/HT Switchgear & its protection, DC box, Safety systems, SCADA, CCTV, FAS, illumination, BOS components. etc
Should have knowledge on Pvsyst, Google SketchUp /map/earth, AutoCAD, PVCASE, Helioscope, ETAP study, solar GIS, PSSE &PSCAD software’s etc.,
Should have knowledge during final commissioning of Solar plant such as PR test/PG test/OTGT test/CUF & its correction, PV yield final generation for overall Projects life cycle.
