Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Solar) to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of solar systems, excellent leadership skills, and proven experience managing projects from initiation to completion.
Duties:
- Lead end-to-end project management for solar PV installations, from design to commissioning.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction teams, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analysis.
- Ensure that all project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are met.
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor the progress and quality of work.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and develop corrective action plans.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular updates on milestones.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 3–7 years project management experience, preferably in solar PV.
- Strong understanding of solar PV design, installation processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project and Primavera).
- Valid driver’s licence and a willingness to travel to project sites.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP/Prince2 Certification
- Experience in utility-scale or large commercial solar projects
- Knowledge of EPC contracting and procurement processes
