What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Responsible for system engineering for the Harvester gasoline engine underpinning the Scout Traveler SUV and Terra pickup.
- Coordinate component designs, builds and testing to meet both Scout and supplier milestones.
- Identify risks and escalate to leadership where appropriate to raise awareness and drive action.
- Track and report engine imperatives including system cost, mass, and investment.
- Effectively coordinate engine hardware, software and calibration for all phases from prototype development to production.
- Provide technical feedback to concept architects, designers, test engineers and calibration teams.
- Act as the engine single point contact for various partners and suppliers.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan.
- The responsibilities of this role require 4-5 days attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. (required)
- Strong Powertrain technical fundamentals. (required)
- 7+ years of experience managing complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with evidence of success bringing programs to life from concept to production (required)
- Experience with common project/ program management tools. (required)
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment with colleagues from purchasing, manufacturing, etc. (required)
- Strong interpersonal skills including accountability, self-motivation, problem solving, analytical thinking, succinct communication and ability to develop & mutually thrive in working relationships. (required)
- Experience with design release of Powertrain components and systems. (preferred)
- Experience with internal combustion engine controls and calibration (preferred)
- Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
