About the Role
As a Sales Trader, you will play a key role in expanding OTC Flow’s market presence by building your own client portfolio and providing strategic trading solutions that help companies meet their environmental compliance and sustainability objectives.
You will be responsible for prospecting new clients and identifying trading opportunities, while building strong and lasting relationships. Working closely with experienced professionals, you will develop the knowledge and skills to succeed in a dynamic and fast-paced market environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Build and grow your own client portfolio through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
- Communicate with clients via phone, online meetings, and in-person visits to understand their business needs.
- Identify and execute trading opportunities aligned with client objectives.
- Provide clients with daily market insights, pricing information, and updates.
- Monitor financial markets, industry news, and developments relevant to your product range.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of traded products and new market procedures.
- Take ownership of your own revenue (P&L) targets and contribute to team performance.
- Promote OTC Flow’s services to increase the company’s market share.
About You
You are a motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented professional with a strong commercial mindset and an interest in sustainability and trading.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 1–2+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or other client-facing roles, ideally within commodities, energy markets, or environmental sectors.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with a focus on long-term partnerships.
- Proactive and resilient attitude, comfortable with cold calling and outreach in a target-driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to a rapidly changing market.
- Native-level proficiency in Dutch and excellent command of English; other languages are a plus.
