They’re looking for a
Solar Project Engineer to lead and support the engineering design, execution, and commissioning of utility-scale solar
PV and
BESS projects (commercial, industrial, agriculture and utility-scale). If you’re passionate about renewable energy and thrive on solving complex engineering challenges, then we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- 🔧 Design and optimize solar PV systems using tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD
- 📈 Perform technical feasibility studies and yield analysis
- 📝 Develop and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring layouts, and construction drawings
- 🛠️ Support procurement and construction teams with technical input
- 🔍 Ensure compliance with applicable standards (NRS, IEC, and SANS)
- 📅 Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables
- 🤝 Collaborate with clients, EPCs, and utility stakeholders during all project phases
Requirements:
- ✔ Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
- ✔ 3–5 years' experience in solar PV project design or engineering
- ✔ Proficient in PV design software (PVsyst, AutoCAD, etc.)
- ✔ Knowledge of grid-tied and hybrid systems
- ✔ Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
- ✔ Valid driver's license (advantageous for site visits)
