They are committed to engineering excellence, innovation, and driving Africa’s transition to clean energy. As they expand, they are looking for a Senior PV Engineering Manager<\/b> to lead and mentor their growing technical team from their Johannesburg office.

Provide strategic engineering leadership<\/b> across all solar PV projects – from concept to commissioning.
<\/p><\/li>
Lead and manage a team of PV design engineers, junior engineers, and consultants.
<\/p><\/li>
Review and approve system designs, layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), yield simulations (PVsyst), and BOQs.
<\/p><\/li>
Ensure full grid -code compliance (NRS, SANS)<\/b> and coordinate with Eskom, municipalities, and technical advisors.
<\/p><\/li>
Evaluate and select key equipment and components for optimal system performance.
<\/p><\/li>
Conduct technical due diligence on project feasibility, including grid, environmental, and permitting risks.
<\/p><\/li>
Interface with project managers, EPCs, developers, and investors to deliver engineering insights.
<\/p><\/li>
Support RFPs, RFQs, and contribute to winning bids through technical accuracy and innovation.
<\/p><\/li>
Establish and improve internal engineering and quality control standards.

Requirements:<\/b>
<\/h3>
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Renewable Energy<\/b> (BSc / BEng required; MSc advantageous).
<\/p><\/li>
Professional registration<\/b> (ECSA Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech preferred).
<\/p><\/li>
Minimum 10 years of solar PV experience<\/b>, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior design capacity<\/b>.
<\/p><\/li>
Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope<\/b>, and grid compliance software.
<\/p><\/li>
Strong understanding of electrical balance of plant (BoP)<\/b> and MV/ HV interconnection design.
<\/p><\/li>
Familiarity with REIPPPP<\/b>, private PPA projects, and wheeling frameworks.
