Introduction

Our client, a subsidury of a prestigious boutique law firm based in Sandton, is seeking an experienced Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) to join their dynamic team. Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct environmental assessments and manage the full process from start to finish.
Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and related regulations.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and legal teams to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
Lead and manage environmental projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all relevant environmental standards.
Perform thorough due diligence and risk assessments to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelors' Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
Must be a registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) with EAPASA.
SACNASP Registered candidates will be preffered
Experience working in the mining sector or engernnering sector is essential, as the firms projects frequently involve this industry.
Project Management: Proven experience in managing environmental projects from initiation through to completion.
Proven experience in environmental assessment, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and policy.
Ability to work independently and take the initiative to drive projects forward.
