1. Project Management and System Design & Integration
- Lead and support the execution of Solar and Battery storage projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
- Design, model, and system integration of both technologies – Solar and battery storage system (BESS) with EBoP for various energy storage applications.
- Preparation of the layout and SLD (Single layout design) of the regulatory requirement & finalisation of the overall system design network.
- Provide technical inputs, prepare bid documents, and support procurement for the request for selection (RFS) for vendor selection.
- Collaboration with the parent company in Europe for all technical inputs and validation of solutions.
2. Technical Documentation & Compliance
- Develop and maintain technical documents, including system specifications, reports, user manuals, and maintenance guidelines.
- Conduct simulations, field trials, and performance assessments to test and validate energy storage solutions for compliance with safety standards and operational requirements, including different modes of operation such as voltage control, frequency control, and reactive power control.
- Prepare summaries of the technical requirements comprising GTP, studies, reports, and O&M.
3. Cost Optimization
- Explore and finalize energy storage installations closer to demand centers (e.g., at substations or local facilities) to reduce transmission and distribution costs.
- Evaluate the budget, technical consideration during the budget stage, and optimization of the requirement for the quantities and qualities of the solution.
4. Asset Operational Support
- Offer technical support for system installations, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations to guarantee customer satisfaction and system reliability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualification - BE/BTech - Electrical
- Overall experience of 8-12 years and 5+ years in detail engineering of Solar as well as BESS.
- Knowledge of different Battery technologies, revenue mechanisms, and use cases.
- Knowledge of Solar and BESS requirements for large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with performance metrics for energy storage systems and Battery Management Systems, including state-of-charge/health algorithms.
- Experience in safety standards for Solar projects and energy storage, such as UL and IEC.
- Knowledge of grid compliances, stability, and reliability studies, as well as grid connection standards and safety regulations.
- Knowledge and acumen for cost optimization and economic benefits.
- AutoCAD and other drawing software
- MS Office, Outlook, and Software such as PSCAD, PSSE, or other power systems modeling tools.
- Project & Risk Management.
