Purpose

 The IS team seeks to hire interns to further its research in green hydrogen. This role requires systematic thesis building by creating structures to track high-impact developments, monitoring technology development at the global scale, and synthesising key policies in the green hydrogen ecosystem. The candidates should have an active and self-directed interest in energy systems and the green hydrogen economy. The role offers an excellent opportunity to build and strengthen a research area while collaborating with Indian and international experts.

The candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make detailed presentations to various stakeholders and write informative reports in technical English. The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities, be detail-oriented, and be committed to adhering to timelines.

Job duties and accountabilities

·       Build data resources through active desktop research, intelligent web-scraping, and/or primary means, etc., for several analytical requirements.

·       Drive the tracking of important developments – policy and technical, in the sector and be able to inform other teams of the relevance of these for their own work.

·       Write high-quality first drafts of reports and analyses for internal and external circulation.

·       Generate knowledge content – blogs and policy briefs during the internship duration.

·       Support stakeholder engagement and relevant convening, including policy and technical exchanges among government officials, R&D facilities, subject experts, etc.

 

Selection Criteria

Qualification

        Graduates or senior students in engineering, energy sciences or industrial economics fields.

        Relevant experience in programming languages, such as Python, SQL, R, and/or others, is a plus point

        Knowledge of the energy landscape in India across various sectors is a plus point.

Key skills

·       Strong analytic skills, including quantitative and qualitative research methods and tools that are fit for purpose.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

·       Excellent information organisation skills

·       Ability to conduct techno-economic analysis, cost & benefit analysis, and sound knowledge of basic economic principles.

·       Strong project management skills. Confidence to handle tasks and engage with stakeholders single-handedly would be highly preferred.

·       CEEW operates in a dynamic environment, and the candidate must show flexibility in various tasks.
