A little more about your role…
The role will focus on the development and delivery of our advisory services on Net Zero, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and sustainability-wide areas in the real estate, retail, and healthcare sectors, among others. The role requires client facing responsibilities as well as leading on some projects delivery.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their needs and working with them to provide tailored decarbonisation and sustainability solutions.
- Proposals development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the built environment space, leveraging your expertise to expand our client base and advisory services. Develop compelling project approaches and respond to client tenders, showcasing our capabilities and value propositions.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide expert and strategic decarbonisation advice to clients, helping them achieve their sustainability goals and comply with industry standards.
- Project Leadership: Lead the development of advisory studies related to decarbonisation, Net Zero, energy efficiency, low carbon HVAC, low-carbon heat, and on-site renewables, with a focus on a wide range of sectors.
- Decarbonisation Strategies: Work with the team to develop sustainability, energy, and decarbonisation strategies for individual assets or portfolios, aligning with client objectives and industry policies.
- Reporting: Write technical and strategic reports for clients, ranging from short presentations to comprehensive documents.
- Team Contribution: Support the overall team management; line management can be part of the role.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Client Management: Proven experience in managing clients and projects, with track record of building strong client relationships.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with a track record of delivering technical and advisory work in the built environment decarbonisation space.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive and problem-solving approach to technical and strategic challenges.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge and significant experience in building services, HVAC, energy systems, renewables, and low-carbon technologies.
- Industry Insight: Understanding of UK/EU decarbonisation policies, trends, and key technologies.
- Professional Status: Chartered engineer or chartered energy manager status is preferred, through membership of professional bodies such as the Energy Institute, CIBSE, IET, IEMA, or similar.
